Developing a Photography Setup For Digitization Application In MSME
Optimizing the operational efficency through research in digitizing the MSME segments . Implementing computerised systems has become crucial for India’s Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) to optimise processes, enhance productivity, and achieve sustainable growth in the digital age. Computerised systems automate essential tasks in the production process, such as inventory management, production logging, accounting, and so on, allowing businesses to operate more efficiently and accurately. An automated system for digitisation of the documents used in MSMEs that generates Microsoft Excel sheets from the photographs of the handwritten logbook entries used in the production process developed by Walmart Centre of Excellence, IIT Madras. For this process, an equipment setup for taking high-quality pictures of the logbooks with the least amount of operator intervention is necessary.

A simple set-up where the personnel need to place the logbook at the correct position and wave his hands above the logbook.
A reflective light tent for taking high quality shadow-less photographs using any standard mobile camera.
User interactive display device for operating the mobile application for taking photographs, uploading and retaking if required. The product is highly useful for industries which follow the practice of log-book maintenance and updating it to system manually, this platform can bypass the manual entry and can generate an excel sheet of the handwritten contents.
