WCTE IoT Lab at IIT Madras is rapidly taking shape, with a dedicated space on the 5th floor of C Block and lab setup work already underway. This initiative is laying the foundation for advanced research and development in IoT technologies. In its initial phase, the lab has hosted two successful IoT workshops that provided hands-on experience and valuable insights into emerging applications. MSME participants were engaged with practical demonstrations, explored sensor and actuator technologies, and learned about controllers, communication protocols, and data analytics in IoT. These early successes and positive feedback underscore the lab’s potential to become a key hub for innovation, research, and skill development. Although the projects are still in development, the momentum is building toward a transformative future in IoT education and technology for MSMEs.
